"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

To be honest, although I am a writer, I am mainly here because I find it amazing how many great visual artists have gathered in DeviantArt and like to browse through the galleries for hours, enjoying all that wonderful stuff and hoping to maybe even find someone who has the right style to ask for certain comissions I would love to have. But maybe I will also try to put some of my writing here ... might be interesting to see if there are any reactions, and if yes, what they are. However, it will be in german then, as I do not trust my language skills enough to write stories in english
